Abstract

Implementation of research in the UMKM business unit of catfish cultivation with integrated aquaponics, where water management is very important because good water quality will support more optimal plant and fish growth. In water management, it is necessary to monitor water parameters in real time, so that significant changes in water conditions are immediately known for immediate action to be taken. Information technology has an indispensable role which is driven by the rapid growth of Indonesia's population in order to increase productivity, efficiency and reduce costs. The research work program in the form of a water management monitoring system application is made with a microcontroller and android based on a distributed system paradigm with a publish/subscribe communication model using the MQTT protocol. Several parameters of water conditions such as temperature, humidity, water density, ammonia gas odor detection and rain detection are displayed on the android device application. Design and planing by adjusting the business process of measuring water parameters is carried out in the research work program and getting the test results to run and function properly.
